Dragos Dumitriu is a business leader and passionate trainer with over 10 years of teaching technology, CRM, and management courses for companies including Siebel and Microsoft.
He is a pioneer and leading expert in the application of Kanban systems. Dragos is a Lean-Kanban University Accredited Kanban Trainer (AKT) and Kanban Coaching Professional (KCP).

Anderson and Associates, Inc, he worked in business development as well as Kanban consulting and training with a focus on IT Operations and DevOps. He ran large-scale Global IT Operations programs for Avenade for 6 years.

Topic at PMCon#4: A3 retrospective - applying lean thinking (workshop)
We will start a master class with a warm-up, discussing who uses metrics and which ones, and which of them were useful or useless. Then we’ll consider the fundamental question: why do we need metrics, and what is their role in IT? Then, in a wider, practical lesson, we'll learn how to properly link the processes and problems of the real world with metrics, and, accordingly, how a reasonable selection of metrics can help to solve them. We'll finish the master class by discussing the conditions in which the use of metrics makes sense.

Tom Hickerson currently leads the development of ClinCapture as well as study build projects. ClinCapture is Clinovo's world-class open-source Electronic Data Capture (EDC) system. Tom has more than ten years experience on open-source technologies for EDC systems. He was one of the lead developers of OpenClinica, which is the open-source code base that makes up ClinCapture. He worked on all aspects of the software development life cycle within this project, from project planning to development, and from end-user and enterprise client support.
Prior to Clinovo, Tom also worked in various roles at the Harvard University, and was one of 36 students to complete ArsDigita University in 2001, an open-source educational project designed to simulate a Computer Science degree curriculum from MIT. His bachelor's degree was in Russian from UT-Austin, and included a year abroad at the Herzen Institute in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
